ACCEPTING THE LIGHT
Jea has always wanted to just walk into the ocean and never miss a footstep.
Something so fearful, and at the same time so welcome- initiation and realization of the cycles of life and death, which take place at almost the same instant.... Death of the body on the earthly plane, and life on the planes of the unknown.
This is the moment we have unconsciously prepared for from the moment of birth on this earth. We have a physical body made of the elements of this world, and the fifth element, the divine spark, which charges the earthly elements and balances the body. These earthly elements, of which we are made, do not belong to us and we must eventually return them from where they came, before we borrowed them. Everything has an order in this universe, and once we learn to understand this natural order of things, there is nothing we cannot do or understand.
Take for example, the body of an animal, plant, bug, human, or anything with the divine spark. Once the divine spark withdraws from that body, lower life forms begin eating it and returning it back to where it came from. Everything goes back to the elements no matter how much we cry and wish it was not so. Everything of this world is made of the elements of this world, and everything goes back to the elements. This is the natural order of things and could be called the "law of the land."
Some religious organizations attempt to teach that you take your earthly body with you forever, which is actually impossible, as firstly, we do not have the same body we were born with. Our body has grown and added (borrowed) more of the elements, and the time will come when we must give back what we borrowed. This is not a man made law, and cannot be broken, regardless of what religion teaches, or how much we may wish and/or cry- besides what fun is a worn out body. This body is needed to interact with everything and everyone on this earth. We only need to look through a microscope, at what we call germs on our body, to see that it is decaying every moment. Look closely enough at any food, and we shall see, we are eating the germs on that food just as the germs are eating us.
All life forms on this planet have a life force from the divine, and when that life force withdraws, it is decay time and back to the elements. On the subject of life force- it all comes from the divine, the same as we do. For us to believe it is ok to unnecessarily take the life of animals and other creatures, by thinking they are not connected to the divine- then we have not a clue about life or the divine, regardless of how spiritual we feel we may be.
Sometimes, as it happens, the elements are not equally balanced, due to things which modern medical practitioners do not understand. A new life may appear to have a stronger connection to elements that the average person does not have. Indications of this may be, in the form of the way some of us are fearful of water, or some of us are scared of fire, or even heights might bother us. The elements can usually be balanced out in some ways of medicine and re-training, or through meditation, or by some other method of contemplation.
Sometimes, it is also possible for the animal kingdom, or another elemental kingdom, to be so close at hand when mating takes place, that the child may have some physical appearance or rapport with that kingdom. As the child grows, this connection usually becomes more apparent and physical appearances may also play a part.
So as it goes with life.... We are born with cycles, just like the seasons and planting cycles of this earth. The seed, birth, grows to maturity, and then goes back to the elements.
Better to understand this, because as soon as we do understand and accept this, we are on our way to a better and fuller life. Knowing this takes all the fear away, when it is time to drop the earthly sheath and return it to the elements. Our divine spark stays with us as we move on to our next life, which the ancients called "life in death" and leave behind what was called "death in life."
Those of us, through religious belief, who may be entombed in a lead or copper box, are prevented from moving on to our new life faster, as the elements cannot readily get to us to help return the body to the elements, causing a part of us to stay earthbound- forgetting the natural law of this universe.... Everything is returned to the elements.
Those of us, having lived a religious life of thinking we shall see glorious wonders all around us, may well see these religious wonders we have built up in our imagination, when we die. These imagined visions surround us until they weaken and disintegrate. Then, we are able to move on in our true spiritual journey. Those believing they will go to hell, will surely go to hell, and experience what they imagine they will experience, when they die. Many of us spend a lifetime fearing death and the unknown, when actually, if we want to fear something, it should just be the unknown and accept death. It is natural to fear the unknown, but not natural to fear death. When we are born and we are children, we do not fear death- we have not had time to fear it and build up a tomb to enslave us when we die. Animals have a natural fear connected to instincts (to survive), just as we do, but they do not fear death, as they do not have time, as we do, to think about it all the time. Animals are highly connected to their instincts just as we should be.
As we grow older our joints become weak, our body is no longer healthy or flexible as it once was. After so long of dealing with a worn out body, many of us feel it is time to give it back to the elements.... To just step out of this earthly sheath and continue our journey in our spiritual body. With this in mind, we should be able to live everyday to its fullest. A good practice for us is to notice something special everyday, which is connected with the living beauty of the divine. Of course, it is our duty to live life to its fullest, and to keep sacred, protect, and honor our temple which houses the divine spark.
With these thoughts in mind, when we hear the call, this body should no longer be of any concern to us, as the elements take over and we move on, to meet our friends and family who have gone before us, and who are now waiting to greet us.
