CONFESSION

Balancing of the internal scales requires confession of deeds to fine tune, and do away with social and psychic hooks, and the" Jack in the box" scenario. Prayer can be transformed into "prey" at the most unfortunate time and when least expected. For example, we have a friend or family member in need, then take it upon ourselves to show loving kindness and compassion, and do some prayer work for them.

As we are doing our meditation and prayers, we make the petition for healing and strength for the individual, when suddenly we are confronted by an ill feeling, which we brush aside, and continue with our desired thoughts and prayers. Perhaps, after this meditation, we do not receive the expected results we were praying for, then doubt begins to slip in, and soon we have decided prayer and meditation is not for us, as it does not work and we did not receive the expected results.

So much for this stuff, it does not work, our prayers were not answered. This would be letting us off easy. In the next scenario, instead of an uneasy feeling, we have a panic attack and become the victim, in worse condition than the person we were performing the healing petition for. So, now we have gotten our fingers burned. So, after several months of meditation, our books and related objects are in the rummage sale, or the fireplace and we are sure this stuff is evil.

Let's consider this- when building a home, we first must make a strong foundation on firm and stable ground. Hard ground that will not crumble away with the slightest of wet weather conditions. We then build a strong home with reinforcement in the walls, and a strong and sturdy roof capable of withstanding any storm, or strong wind, that may sweep across our home and shelter.

The same way with meditation and anything we do. To build the strong foundation, when we do our meditation and prayers, we first make acknowledgement of any wrong doing we may have done, knowingly or unknowingly. We accept whatever the consequences may be for any wrong doing (the acknowledgement goes a long way in balancing and pay back) as, truth be known, we cannot really advance with any ties from unaccepted past deeds and loose ends we may still have. We need to first deal with knowing ourselves and building our own strong aura before helping others- it is very difficult helping others in need when we ourselves have not cleaned our own home.

With admittance of all deeds and actions before meditation, we have successfully leveraged any unbalanced forces that may have "Jack in the boxed us in" the middle of a good meditation or prayer petition. This, along with always speaking what we mean, when we say it building within us- one is one and two is two. Our right actions are and thoughts are the conduit by which our prayers are answered. If the conduit is broken or damaged, then we cannot receive the full energy or benefit of the prayers and meditations we ask for.

Remembering the many death bed confessions, and the reason for asking for someone to listen to our last words, is a very strong thought of the power of confessions.

Again, this is not a chunk in the gears, but insight to make more powerful and successful prayers, that bring results through right thoughts and actions.

A prayer does not become a prayer until it leaves your thoughts and goes into your heart.
