Meditation, with daily practice brings many benefits to us including heightened awareness, along with increased energy, which sometimes makes us feel like we are overloaded with overbearing thoughts and increased desires. Sometimes, desires that we would like to have fade away, as we are changing our direction to stay in tune with the universal harmony.

Thoughts we may think are not ours, or how come we are bombarded with these thoughts- when we are wanting to improve, and perhaps rid ourselves of these or other unwanted thoughts and feelings. These unwanted feelings are just as natural as the feelings of goodwill we have. We are surrounded by an aura, and in this aura, which has been built up during our life, we are surrounded by our thoughts and emotions- some we like and some we do not like. Either way, once we start on the path of improvement, we energize these old thought patterns (good and bad) and must deal with them as we have now called them forward, to allow us to face ourselves- that we may be free of them and any debt connected with them.

Once we have faced these unpleasant thoughts, fear and doubt start fading, giving clearness to see the truth. Of course, when we interact with higher energies, our whole being is energized and we must stay centered until the old unwanted thoughts are broken up and reabsorbed. The saying from old, "You have to take the bad with the good is very true," but the difference now, is we are armed with ability of concentration on the good and knowledge to center ourselves- rendering any unwanted thoughts from our own aura- or- anyone else's to have no effect on us. Once we become proficient in meditation, we may develop the ability to absorb any negative energy, and change it to our use in our own thought and prayer, sometimes increasing our own power for the benefit of prayer.

We can look at it this way- energy, power, or whatever you wanna call it, is neutral and when it interacts with us, it becomes positive or negative, good or evil. It is our own self that determines how to use the energy. If we have old thought patterns not fully disintegrated yet, of course, they may also pop up to say hello. OK, another look at it- if you have a bad guy and he finds or is given a handful of money, he will spend it on bad things. If a good guy is given, or finds the same handful of money, it will be used for good things. The money is not good or bad but, once it makes contact with someone, the thoughts of that someone determines how the money will be used. We now can see how things we ask and pray for can help us or hurt us.

When we advance in our thinking and meditation, the amount of energy also increases and occasionally goes to ground causing us to slip, or feels as if we are going to slip- we need to remember to stay centered and allow the higher energies, frequencies, or whatever to balance out within us. Sometimes taking a break is what is called for. Something like the strung bow eventually weakens, may help us to remember the middle way is the way of balanced harmony. Another phrase that we may think of when someone is out of balance, "the higher the monkey climbs- the more his ass shows."
