THE SCALES

The heart, being the internal recorder, records everything we do and think, and sometimes replays our actions for us to view in our dreams. When we give attention to our dreams, we are given more past and future information in which to guide us. In some instances, we are given scenarios that could benefit our life- if we remember the scenes.

"Deja vu," is the word often used to describe this occurrence, but how many people don't really believe this. Oftentimes, we hear people that have come into good luck say, "I heard it or saw it in my dream and followed the advise." Dreams are very important if we are to succeed in what we desire. "Follow your dream," a phrase frequently heard that should go hand in hand with another phrase in believability. The same as in folk stories, mythology, and some superstition- and this phrase would be, "where there is smoke, there is usually fire." This last sentence being used only in reinforcing the phrase of "follow your dream".

The same dark shadow, or figure, we see chasing or confronting us in our dreams, may become our best friend and a true golden friend, once we have learned to deal with, and accept ourselves, and our actions as ours. When we face this dark shadow in our dream, we eventually open communication with ourselves and know ourselves. When we run from this shadow, we run from the truth and ourselves. Being able to confront this dark shadow is the beginning of a new life and the way we see things. To fear this figure in dreams only leads to nightmares and eventually panic. When, actually all we need do is face ourselves, understand ourselves, and accept and love ourselves as we are. We could say this dark shadow person is our real shadow, and the sum of all things we have done and don't like.

Ok, now on to the subject of weights and scales, as they apply to us and daily events around us. We can take the example of someone buying a water buffalo to work the ground, or a home to live in. We find the home we like, and usually these days, we need to have a salesperson that is the go-between the buyer and seller. The traditional way of a handshake went out when it was found there was money to be made in helping others reach an agreement, in which the salesman had nothing to do with, but for a fee could help both parties reach an agreeable sum. In modern times, the salesperson is interested in making money, and is not concerned with right or wrong, or helping the sides reach an agreement, but only in making a sale to receive their commission. At this point, let me say, that the above paragraph is only an example and should not be thought of otherwise.

So, we are setting the stage for our talk, and the above example is necessary, as we shall continue to use this example again. While we may wonder, if we are watching our friends buy a car, or home, or whatever, and realize the friend is being cheated by the salesperson, how this salesperson can get away with these kind of tactics. We may wonder, if our friend is so kind to all and does all he can to help anyone that asks, how come he is being cheated by someone or some organization. Well, the fact of the matter is, that it is almost impossible in the money driven world of today not be taken, or cheated in some way, when making large purchases. The days of buying a water buffalo, horse, or having our friends helping us to build our home, seem to be gone except in some of the remote areas of the globe where the "Money God" has no control over the people.

Let's face it, we take a job to make some money, and eventually see how easy it is to make money, then the "Money God" steps in and blinds us to right or wrong, and fills our heart with monetary riches, blocking out the truth which we once believed in. Take for example, trying to walk across the barnyard filled with chickens and ducks- eventually if we walk enough, we are gonna get some of the dung on our feet. Once we get so much dung on our feet, where we can no longer see our feet, we no longer care about dung on our feet, but just walking and getting our work done. We hear about it all the time in the local papers. Officer Shoonglee was such a nice officer for 23 years, and suddenly he is caught is a scandal of bribery and crookedness. Eventually when you walk in it - you are gonna get some on your feet.

We may also wonder, if there is a divine being watching over us, how come the divine being allows this kind of corruption and the people doing it to go on and on with their ways. The truth is that each person records a permanent record of their own actions within themselves, and everything we do or think is played back for us when it is time to balance the scales.

There is no escaping the weighing of the heart and the scales of justice. We live in a universe of harmony and for every action there is reaction, and if the reaction is harmonious with the action, then everything is balanced and harmonious, and there are no waves made to catch us later at the weighing of the hearts.

We could say, the divine being holds the scales and our own heart weighs our deeds, both good and bad, and is the judge against us.

We could also say, that the person is not bad, but the evil in their heart is causing him/her to do these bad things, and this would be true. Which would also give indication that the heart can be cleared of shadows, then light and truth can fill the heart again and balance out the scales before the weighing of the heart. In some cases, another chance at life.

A popular belief of jungle monks in the Asian forest is that- if a venomous snake should bite us and we survive, then there was not enough poison in our heart to interact with the venom, but if we should die, then it was the poison in our heart that killed us and not the fault of the snake.

In some schools of teaching, there is the thought that you can go about your ways with no worry whatsoever, as long as you devote 2 hours on one day out of seven, to weighing of the heart, and you can forget about the other six days, regardless of what you may have done.

Another scenario, to some observers, that may seem strange, is the fact that some individuals come into this life with a protection which prevents them from any harm or wrong doing by others. There are also individuals that have built an aura (through daily thoughts and actions) around themselves that prevent any harm, physical or otherwise, from coming to them. In both cases, intentional attempt of others to take advantage of these individuals may cause immediate reaction in the deceiver, which could range from physical, emotional, financial to....

Unfortunately, for the individual attempting to harm or deceive individuals (in the above paragraph), the reaction is almost immediate and unforgiving in nature to the receiver, and in some cases, recovery may require assistance from professionals.

Back to our dreams and ways of balancing the scales. When we understand our dreams, and ourselves, and accept our actions as ours, then we can understand our life and be the master of our destiny. While we can not change our destiny, through our right thinking, and right actions, we can change the way we accept our destiny and, in some instances, lessen the impact of some of our lessons without being slammed.
